110 year MMK Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol
Dear colleagues, partners, friends!
Ilyich Iron & Steel Works, one of the largest iron and steel maker of Ukraine, celebrates its 110th Anniversary.
All the history of the Works is a continuous hard but honourable and creative labour of many generations of workers, engineers and office workers. The way of our Works is a glorious way of patriotic enterprise with many joyous and dramatic events. And while giong this way we united our employees, increased our production and research facilities, created well known all over Ukraine Ilyich's character.
The 2nd of November 2000 was a remarkable date in Work's history. On this day the Parliament of Ukraine passed the Law "About Privatization of Ilyich Iron & Steel Works" and according to this Law the labour collective became the owner of its enterprise. This event initiated comprehensive program of Work's development, including modernization of production facilities of the Works, implementation of energy-saving measures, improvement of ecology environment and social protection system of Work's employees and veterans.
The strategic aim of Work's development is creation of high-tech metallurgical complex capable to manufacture many high quality steel products. Comprehensive investment program is being implemented to modernize production facilities, to implement new processes and to commission state-of-the-art equipment. The extension of the assortment and the quality of steel products is a continuous process.
We extend and strengthen our facilities, we work for the benefit of the people and the country.
