25-02-2008Working teams of Blast Furnace № 3 of Ilyich Iron & Steel Works produced extra 5220 tons of pig iron in addition to the scheduled amount in the first 24 days of February.

A lot of experienced specialists work in the working team № 3 of the Blast Furnace № 3. The Foreman of BF № 3 Mr. Valeriy Gorodnichiy is just such experienced specialist. For 30 years he has been working hard at the very source of Ilyich's metal. During this period the graduate of Priazovsky State Technical University worked as a forehearth operator, a scrap charging operator, an equipment repair fitter, a bin bay foreman, a gas-man, and from 1993 – as the foreman of BF № 3. The gas-man of BF № 3 engineer Roman Petysh is very skilled as well. The strict observing of the process parameters of the heat depends on their skill and professionalism. The consistent work of all the working team № 3 guarantees trouble-free operation of the Blast Furnace and the quality of the produced pig-iron.
