The oxygen converter plant comprises three 160-tons converters.

Carbon steel grades (including those for automobile plates) as well as lowalloyed steel grades (including those for welded pipes) are made at this plant.

All high quality steel is cast on continuous casting machines. Different means for out-of-furnace treatment of iron and steel are widely used in manufacturing process.

Desulphurisation, modification, micro)alloying and alloying of steel are carried out by means of slagforming mixtures, and also by adding of powderwire with different fillers to the ladle with the steel.

The manufacturing process of steelmaking is performed on the basis of express check analysis and data provision by using modern equipment.

For the first time the technology of torch gunning of the converter lining was worked out and put into practice, which allowed to increase lining resistance.
