One of the oldest plants in the field of ferrous metallurgy, Illyich Iron and Steel Works was one of the first to enter the global metal products market due to foreign trade liberalization. High quality of manufactured products together with a favourable geographical position (an existence of a large sea trade port in Mariupol) and com-plete fulfilment of the contract obligations in front of the purchaser earned the plant the reputation of a reliable partner at the International market of rolled metal prod-ucts, The plant has trade partners among the largest metal products consumers and trade companies in many regions of the world.
Metal products of the plant are well-known in Europe (Germany, Italy, Great btrrtain, Czech Republic, Greece, Bulgaria, etc.), In the Middle East (Turkey, Iran, Syria, the Lebanon, Israel etc.), in Asia (China, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, etc.), In America (USA, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, etc.), in Africa (Egypt, Algeria, Cameroon, etc.)
The Works' export range Includes plates produced of carbon steel grades, low-alloyed steel grades and special steel grades, cast slabs of high quality grades and ordinary steel grades, hot-rolled and cold-rolled sheets and strips in coils, galvanized cold-rolled products, hot-rolled pipes and welded pipes and other types of products.
The metal products specified above are used in shipbuilding, pipe man-ufacturing including pipes produced for nothern regions (strips), in the manu-facturing of high-pressure boilers, in the construction of bridges, cranes and for all kinds of constructions and sructures, for hardware production e.t.c.
Metal products are produced and furnished in accordance with standard requirements of highly-developed countries, such as Germany (DIN EN 10025, DIN 17100 and others), USA (ASTM A572M, A516M and others). Japan (JISG3101, JISG3106 and others). Metal products, e.g. rolled products In coils, including galvanized rolled coils and strips, are also furnished according to national standards (COST 16523, GOST 14918 and others).
The Works obtained 30 Certificates of Conformance given by seven for-eign certification centres for metal products made of more than 200 steel grades and holds two certificates for the Quality Management System accord-ingtoISO 9001.
Normal strength and higher strength shipbuilding steels, including the most important grades up to EH40, are certified by Lloyd's Register (London), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Germamscher Lloyd's Register (Hamburg), Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (Saint-Petersburg), Bureau Veritas (France), Del Norske Veritas (DNV, Norway).
Among products certified byTuv-Nord Certification Centre there are hot-rolled structural steel sheets and plates including high strength steels of high quality S355J2G 3, S152-3N and others covered in EN 10025, DIN 17100; high strength strips including such grades as X65, X70 for the production of pipes with large diameter used in gas and oil pipelines, boiler steels, including high strength heat-resistant and cold-resistant steel grades P355NL2, STE480.7TM and others covered In EN 10028-3, DIN 17172, DIN 17102, DIN 17155, EN 10028-2, EN 10207, electric-welded pipesb for water supply and gas sup-ply systems, with diameter 17.2-114.3 mm covered in DIN 2440. DIN 2441. Boiler steel is also certified according to the European Directive 97/23/EC for the high-pressure vessels.
In addition to that the Works received TUV-Nord's permission to use the "U" sign tor the rolled products sold for constructions and structures according to the requirements of German Construction Regulations. |
